Texas Tech Rowing Club is comprised of a dedicated group of student athletes passionate about representing Texas Tech in the growing world of rowing! As a club team, we rely on the generosity of supporters and sponsors to cover costs of travel, equipment, and competition fees. CLUB 806!

Consider joining Club 806! What is Club 806? The name represents Lubbock as 806 is Lubbock’s area code. By joining Club 806, you are pledging to donate $8.06 monthly, which sums to $96.72 yearly. This monthly impact assists us with purchasing equipment, fund regattas, and provide scholarships!

What can your Impact do?

  • Regattas

    Regatta (boat races) all located all over the country. Your impact will assist with offsetting costs such as travel, food, and entry fees and registration.

  • Equipment

    Equipment such as cox boxes, oars, rowing shoes, riggers, boat slings, and fins to name a few all come with a shiny price tag. Your impact can assist us with ensuring we can purchase equipment for practice and racing.

  • Boat Trailer

    Rowing has a very specific trailer to carry boats across the country for races. A used trailer can start off at $10,000. Your impact will assist with purchasing a trailer to transport our boats to regattas.

  • Boats

    Can’t have a rowing program without boats. We were generously donated with our first and only boat by ReRow. Your impact will help us build our fleet thus building our team. interested in naming a boat? Please contact us for more information!

  • Growth and Community

    As with anything, to build something, funds will be needed. We want to see our program grow at Texas Tech and the West Texas community. We are the only rowing program in West Texas with the closest team being five hours away. It is our duty to grow our program and serve our community and region.

  • Scholarships

    Since our inception, one of our goals was to make sure anyone that waned to row regardless of ability to pay dues. We understand that finances can sometimes get in the way of passion and that’s not a barrier we want on our team. Your impact will assist in ensuring any one who wants to row can pick up an oar and join!
